R,
I decided, against my logic, to deliver you a Christmas Card the day before you left yesterday on your trip to Europe. I did not know if you would check the letterbox in time, I could barely remember what I had written, sealed in case I wanted to re-read and overanalyze my words.
I received your email from Singapore this morning. I don’t think I’d ever been happier. I’m eternally grateful to the voice that told me to listen to my heart instead of my head. I wish I had written more of what I truly felt in your Christmas card, but receiving your email is enough.
